Photos submitted in this category may be of cemeteries, places of worship, or a combination of both. They should be the main subject in the photograph. A cemetery is defined as land set aside as a burial ground or graveyard. It is a designated space identified by burial sites which may include graves, tombs, sarcophagus, mausoleum, funeral urns, or niche. A place of worship is a specially designed structure where individuals or a group of people such as a congregation come to perform acts of devotion or religious study. Temples, churches, mosques, and synagogues are examples of structures created for worship. Images may be of the exterior or interior of these buildings or any recognizable part thereof.
